This week in review Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipsticks. I purchased two of these lipsticks back in the September school holidays – wow that is ages ago! They are only available at Sephora, so I trekked all 3 kids to the city on an adventure, just so I could buy these babies and I wasn’t disappointed. I purchased two beautiful colours Watermelon and Coral Blossom.

They are just as beautiful on the lip as in the packaging. Whilst I mention it, I have to say that the packaging for these lipsticks would have to be the prettiest for a lipstick that I have seen. Totally different to anything else in the market and I feel it adds so much value to the product.

The lipsticks themselves are soft, buttery and glide on like a dream. This lipstick range also has an almost minty flavour/smell when applied, so if you like mint, like me, then it is a very nice surprise.

These lipsticks can tend to feather a bit but using a lip liner would take care of this issue. The burst of colour is incredible and whilst I didn’t find them to be the longest wearing lipstick I own, they do leave a stain of colour on your lips so a little touch up or even a bit of gloss over the top and you are good to go again.

Overall, these lipsticks have been a big hit for me. So much so, I bought one for my Mum and another for a friend as gifts. I will definitely be purchasing more colours in this range and cannot wait to try more Tarte products.

Have you tried any of the Tarte range? I would love to know what you thought of them.
